My cats love their cat toys with feathers and bells. I enjoy the time I spend playing with them and at times they are busy by themselves chasing and batting a ball down the hallway. I have 3 kitties and it seems each one has their favorite toys. They seem to get bored with some toys after a while but the ones with feathers and bells always seem to get their attention.
Of course, a cat instinctively wants to hunt. Since mine do not get outside they can express their predatory instinct playing with toys with feathers and bells and the songbirds in my backyard remain safe.
It is fun to watch them chase after a little ball that has a jingle bell inside and leap into the air to catch the small feather toys. Since my guys are house cats it’s important they get some exercise and I want them to be happy and entertained.
I do rotate some of their toys to keep them from getting bored and after a while some of the soft fabric ones become pretty worn or a ball gets stepped on and crushed.
Sometimes the smaller toys seem like socks and can disappear only to be found later in the least expected spots! One time my husband pulled a kleenex out of the box and was startled when he noticed a corner of something fluffy and gray move as he pulled the kleenex out. Of course, for a moment he thought it was a real live mouse! Eek! But, thankfully, it was just a fuzzy little mouse toy! He was rattled enough that he tossed the entire box of kleenex and the natty toy mouse. He has allergies and didn’t want to use the kleenex after the mouse had been residing in the kleenex box for who knows how long!
Here are some fun cat toys with feathers and bells that I know my cats would love to play with. I’m sure your kitty would, too!
